A Lifetime Behind the Microphone
For more than 40 years, Chris Myers has been one of America's most recognizable sports broadcasters, covering the biggest events, interviewing the greatest athletes, and bringing fans closer to the games they love.
Chris's broadcasting career began at just 16 years old in Miami, where he worked at WKAT Radio and landed interviews with legendary figures such as Muhammad Ali and Don Shula. By the age of 20, he had already moved into television reporting at WICX-TV, building the foundation for what would become one of the most respected careers in sports media.
His journey continued through WIOD Radio and WTVJ (CBS) in Miami before moving to WWL-TV and WWL Radio in New Orleans, where his reputation as a versatile reporter and host continued to grow.
In 1989, Chris joined ESPN as a Los Angeles-based reporter, beginning a decade-long run covering virtually every major sport. During his time at ESPN, he became a familiar face on SportsCenter, Up Close, and numerous live event broadcasts while covering the NFL, Major League Baseball, college football, college basketball, and more.
Among his many memorable assignments, Chris conducted the first live television interview with O.J. Simpson following the civil trials, earning national attention for one of the most significant interviews of that era. His reporting also earned him an Emmy Award and helped establish him as one of the industry's most trusted journalists.
Chris also played an important role in the early development of both ESPN Radio and FOX Sports Radio, helping expand sports broadcasting beyond traditional television.
Since joining FOX Sports in 2000, Chris has become one of the network's signature voices. He has covered multiple Super Bowls, World Series, Daytona 500s, NASCAR championships, Major League Baseball, and countless NFL games, while interviewing many of the biggest names in sports.
