Shane van Gisbergen won the last 5 road course races.  He’ll try to match Jeff Gordon’s all-time record 6 straight wins.

SVG looking for his first win in his 3rd try at Austin.  Christopher Bell won Austin last year.  It was his 2nd of 3 straight wins which began at Atlanta the previous week & ended at Phoenix one week after Austin.

Alex Bowman & Tyler Reddick finished top 10 all 5 Austin races.  Reddick finished top 5 in last 4 Austin races.

4 Road course races this season – Austin, Watkins Glen, San Diego & Sonoma

5 Different winners in 5 Austin races – Bell, Byron, Chastain, Elliott & Reddick

Winner started 8th or better 3 of 5 Austin races
